Translink Connections Judges Announced

Translink has announced the judging panel for their Connections photography competition.

The competition challenges aspiring photographers across NI to capture real and meaningful moments of connections as part of Translink’s Life Better. Connected campaign which celebrates all the connections made possible by public transport, whether it’s to friends, work, events, community, the planet, key life moments or even to ourselves.

One or more of the five key campaign themes of education, economy, environment, health and community must be reflected in the image.

For competition judging, Translink has teamed up with a selection of Northern Ireland’s finest photography enthusiasts including Dr Clare Gallagher, Lecturer of Photography at Ulster University, Collette O’Neill renowned and award-winning professional photographer, Valerie Catterson from Arts and Business and Paschal O’Sullivan from Translink’s design team.

Collette O’Neill owner of Collette Creative commented: “Capturing life’s connections is such a beautiful subject matter to take a closer look at. And teaming this subject up with public transport which is all about connection should produce some really interesting and emotive pieces.  I’m looking forward to seeing what our entrants create alongside the stories behind the photographs.”

Entrants have until November 3 to submit their photographs to [email protected] and the winning photography will be exhibited in the Translink Connections Exhibition.
